Cloud testing is a very important facet of modern-day cloud computing. In cloud testing, web applications make use of various cloud computing environments in order to emulate real-world user proceedings.

At the most rudimentary level, cloud testing is a form of software testing that uses cloud infrastructure. Now, there can be various tests undergone by a particular organization like load testing and performance testing, among others. However, cloud testing is not altogether feasible. Concerns arise regarding the soaring cost per test. Also, the ability to meet deadlines and a large number of test cases pose enough challenges.

Yet, cloud testing has emerged as an important method of software testing in the recent years. It is especially useful in cases where the exact number of users is not easily predictable. In cases where there are evident discrepancies in the ambit of deployment, cloud testing serves as a useful tool.

What are the Steps of Cloud Testing Process? As far as the cloud testing process is concerned, it is generally said to have eight important steps. Firstly, it is important to develop user outlines. On number second comes the fabrication of test cases. After the test cases have been designed, the cloud service provider is to be selected. Once this is done, the cloud infrastructure has to be set up and then, begins the actual testing process. While in the process, it is significant to keep an eye on the testing goals before eventually delivering the results.

While considering testing, one must be aware that there should be a genuine willingness to be used as a case study by the concerned cloud service provider. This may help in reducing the otherwise high costs per test.

Cloud Testing Tools: Things to Consider Finding the Right Tools While finding cloud testing tools, one must be aware of the impending risks and challenges. Security is the foremost concern. Accessing internal data through Virtual Private Network should be patterned properly, so as to protect internal information.

It is very important to select appropriate services. IAAS is the most advantageous service apart from PAAS or SAAS. Also, one must test whether the service provider is a public or a private service provider. And lastly, one must correctly decipher his or her Service Level Agreement. One must be aware of the liabilities of the client and the host.
